The Heidelberg-based software company Volume Graphics has outgrown its old offices. In order to make room for new employees, the company will be moving to new offices in early July. As of July 4, the currently 80 employees will continue their work on developing software for the analysis and visualization of data of industrial computer tomography (CT) in their new home at Speyerer Straße 4 – 6, 69115 Heidelberg.

"Volume Graphics is growing, but we couldn’t fit any more people in our old offices. Therefore, we’re glad to have found premises on Speyerer Straße that are spacious enough for the future," explains Christof Reinhart, CEO of Volume Graphics.

The new corporate headquarters of Volume Graphics GmbH are located on the edge of the so-called “Bahnstadt” ("Rail City"), within sight and walking distance of Heidelberg Central Railway Station. Thus, the building is well connected to local and long-distance public transport as well as the motorway. For Reinhart, it was very important to stay in Heidelberg: "We’re a Heidelberg company through and through and benefit enormously from Heidelberg’s role as a hub for education and research."

Volume Graphics was founded in 1997. Between 2012 and 2015, its number of employees has almost doubled. In order to be able to continue to grow, the new office space is almost two thirds larger than the previous premises on Wieblinger Weg.

VG Academy, where Volume Graphics provides its customers with software training, is also growing and will relocate along with the rest of the company. In the future, the in-house trainers will have three rooms at their disposal, as well as an auditorium for larger groups.

Volume Graphics is one of the world’s leading companies in the field of non-destructive testing through the use of industrial CT, with international industrial companies from around the world using Volume Graphics software to inspect their products. With the move to the new building, which was originally built as a research institute for the ABB Group, Volume Graphics will now enjoy the same level of prominence in its hometown; the logo on the roof of the distinct building tower is visible from afar, even by night.

With the move, Volume Graphics also increases its attractiveness as an employer. The offices have been completely refurbished and offer the ideal environment for agile software development. Shared lounge and rest areas aim to promote the exchange between the different departments. "When designing the new offices, each employee was able to contribute his or her ideas. For the first time in the company's history, we will be moving into offices that are precisely tailored to our needs. In such offices, you can’t help but feel more at home,” explains Reinhart.

The headquarters in Heidelberg are the largest of Volume Graphics’ five locations. Employees in offices in the USA (Charlotte, NC) and Japan (Nagoya) offer sales and support to customers and partners in their respective regions. Volume Graphics is also currently setting up additional offices in Singapore and China (Beijing).
