Renault F1 Team Concludes Multi-Year Agreement with Volume Graphics

Renault F1 Team is pleased to announce a multi-year agreement with Volume Graphics, a market leader in the development of software for non-destructive testing.

Volume Graphics has more than 20 years of experience in a wide range of industries including automotive, aerospace and electronics.

Nick Chester, Chassis Technical Director at Renault F1 Team explained: “To improve performance, Formula One car components must be light and stiff and, for this reason, they are designed with a small margin of safety. After manufacture and during their life, they are tested using inspection protocols similar to the aerospace industry. This is an area where we target constant improvements. Safety and reliability cannot be negotiated in our world and this new partnership gives us the confidence we need to push the boundaries of innovation in both chassis and engine design. Having Volume Graphics alongside us creates a dynamic approach to projects relating to non-destructive testing and metrology processes within Renault F1 Team.”

"A technical partnership such as the one with Renault F1 Team makes your heart beat a little faster,” says Christof Reinhart, CEO Volume Graphics GmbH. “Racing is the essence of what Volume Graphics stands for: speed, precision, and engineering excellence. Our software is used daily by numerous customers around the world to inspect the most advanced and complex components. But a high-performance sport like this takes us to totally new, previously unknown limits. Overcoming these limits not only helps Renault F1 Team but all of our other customers."
