Volume Graphics introduces version 3.2.2 of its product family for the analysis and visualization of industrial computed tomography (CT) data – consisting of VGSTUDIO MAX, VGSTUDIO, VGMETROLOGY, VGinLINE, and myVGL. The update brings valuable improvements that make daily work even easier for all users. In version 3.2.2, users can look forward to a new option to monitor data quality of CT scans and an improved CAD geometry correction.
Users can now monitor the data quality of your CT scans over time in VGSTUDIO MAX – based on the determination of the Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) and the Contrast Discrimination Function (CDF) from a scan of a cylindrical rod according to the ASTM E 1695 standard.
It is now possible to automatically update a geometry correction when using a new registration to, e.g., find the registration that leads to the smallest or least costly correction: Duplicate a CAD geometry correction including all referenced objects; then change the registration on the duplicated parts, update the CAD geometry correction, and finally directly compare the results.
*Please note: Some of the items listed above may only be applicable to specific products or add-on modules that depend on the purchased license.
