At the beginning of the 1990ies, the three founders of Volume Graphics GmbH designed and developed the world's first system for real-time volume data visualization. This pioneering work laid the foundation for all genuine volume data processing: Until that time, volume data could only be viewed and processed slice by slice. From now on, analyses were no longer limited to one individual slice image at a time, but covered the volume in all three dimensions.

Volume data consists of a continuous set of voxels arranged in a three-dimensional grid structure. Each voxel represents a specific area of the object and it's 'grey value' provides information on the material properties in this area. In case of  a CT scan, this 'grey value' stands for the x-ray absorbency. This is why volume data allows a component to be captured in its entirety including it's material properties and inner structures.

Volume Graphics software consistently uses volume data for processing. All details of your data remain intact - they are visualized without any data loss and analyzed using customized tools.

But Volume Graphics is highly competent and experienced not only in the processing and analysis of volume data, but also in the creation of volume data from projection images. The Volume Graphics CT Reconstruction solution has been in use for many years and is now offered as a standard add-on module.
