21.10.2010       Volume Graphics at JIMTOF 2010

Volume Graphics will present its world leading VGStudio MAX 2.1 software for non-destructive testing and quality control tasks based on industrial computer tomography (voxel) data at JIMTOF 2010, Tokyo, Japan.

Visit us at Tokyo Big Sight in
East Hall Booth No. E6006
during Oct 28 and Nov 02, 2010.

Experience „The Revolution in the Analysis of Industrial Computer Tomography data“ - VGStudio MAX 2.1, representing the next generation of the VGStudio product family. Volume Graphics’ application software VGStudio MAX offers solutions for use in quality control, e.g., in metrology, measuring, defect/porosity analysis, wall-thickness analysis, actual/nominal comparison, rapid prototyping and reverse engineering. Volume Graphics products are highly optimized to work with even largest data sets of any format from the world’s leading industrial CT manufacturers. VGStudio MAX is the established de facto industry standard. You will find data analysis demos, images and animations generated by VGStudio MAX at our booth.

01.05.2010       VGStudio MAX 2.1 released

Highlights of the new version:

  • Macro and batch processing for automation of tasks
  • Navigation planes for easy navigation in 2D and 3D
  • New 2D window type: Rotation window (also available for 2D animation)
  • New clipping option: Interactive clipping in 3D window
  • New segmentation option: Interactive segmentation in 3D window
  • Options for easy alignment of objects to slice images (Simple registration, Simple 3-2-1 registration)
  • New option for offering lossless compression
  • Reporting of object properties and instruments
  • Export of lists with instruments/marker positions
  • Keyframer allows multiple selection of keyframes for copy&paste of properties

VGStudio MAX 2.1 supports Windows search with meta information on .vgl files.

Furthermore, you can choose from a larger selection of import/export file formats, and a new camera path for 3D animations is available.

What's new for the add-on modules?

  • Coordinate measurement module now fully supports GD&T tasks (acc. to DIN EN ISO 1101)
  • Detection and analysis of inclusions is now possible with the defect detection module
  • Wall-thickness analysis offers additional statistical values such as minimum/maximum/mean thickness as well as a new mode for analyzing thicknesses of gaps
  • Nominal/actual comparison offers statistics based on components and a new option for considering surface orientation
  • Surface determination in difficult situations (e.g., multi-material objects, noisy data) is supported with new parameters for advanced surface determination (Coordinate measurement module)
  • Improved 3-2-1 registration (Coordinate measurement module)
  • The CT reconstruction add-on offers new options for correction of beam hardening, automatic detector offset, and tilt (in detector plane)

Holders of an update/service contract are eligible for upgrading their license without extra charge.
